What Makes Me, Me

Hi I’m Aaron, a digital marketer. I haven’t always been a digital marketer, like many people in their 30’s I’ve experimented in different industries and have honed in on what I truly value in a career. For people that have busy schedules and are reading dozens of portfolios a day let me give you the cliff notes:

  • I am passionately curious about the world around me. I value learning above all else and part of the reason I’m drawn to marketing is because it’s an industry that’s always evolving.

  • I search for places that I can help build a community, I value team work and open communication.

  • I love going outside of my comfort zone and looking for the next thing that will help me grow. Whether it’s taking on new roles at work, or planning my next big objective in the Rocky Mountains (this year I want to do the Rundle Traverse).

  • University taught me how to write, analyze and draw conclusions from data, verify information, and find reputable sources.

  • Carpentry taught me how to work within a team, devise a strategy and execute it in an efficient manner.

  • Project management taught me how to assess risks, interact with clients, identify pain points, problem solve, budget, and meet tight deadlines.

  • I’m pivoting to marketing because it has the analytical and strategic side of a job that I love, but it also requires creativity, which I feel has been missing up to this point.
